Big screen high definition television Most
rear projection big screen TVs on the market
today now include a built-in HDTV tuner. Some of the flat panel
televisions have a separate tuner box. As recently as just a
year or two ago, most big screen televisions were merely HD-ready,
meaning that you'd need to connect an external HDTV receiver in order to view HDTV programming.
Integrated HDTV tuners include an ATSC
tuner for picking up your local HD stations with an HDTV
capable antenna. Many big screen HDTVs are also Digital Cable
Ready, which may allow cable subscribers to entirely eliminate the need to
connect a separate HDTV cable box to their big screen high definition TV. |
